Janey has been Managing Director of CDR since 1997. An experienced Quantity Surveyor, she is a qualified Adjudicator, Arbitrator & Expert Witness; with an impressive track record. Janey has extensive experience in construction contracts, providing procurement and contract advice to employers, contractors and consultants in the construction industry. Experience in the private and public sectors through practising as a Quantity Surveyor, lecturing and providing construction dispute consultancy services. Appointments as Adjudicator, Mediator, Arbitrator and Expert Witness.
Particularly specialises in the roles and liabilities of the design and construction team and has given expert evidence in relation to professional negligence matters.
Expert Witness Appointments in relation to liability, quantum and damages in construction contract claims for extension of time, loss and expense; contract administration and measurement matters.
Janey has also lectured at Glasgow Caledonian University in Building Contracts and Construction Law and continues to be a guest lecturer on dispute resolution related topics.
Janey is a past Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in Scotland (2007-2008) and is currently a Non-Executive member of the RICS UK World Regional Board.

Lisa, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, joined CDR in 2000 as a Contract Consultant and in 2009 became a Director. Lisa provides Adjudication, Quantity Surveying and related Expert Witness services.
Since joining CDR, Lisa qualified as an Adjudicator in 2002 has become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators; and gained LL.M in Construction Law and Arbitration. Lisa is listed on the Chairman’s Panel of Adjudicators for RICS Scotland and on the Confederation for Construction Specialists Panel. As well as acting as Adjudicator, Lisa has represented Parties in varying sectors of the industry in numerous adjudications with a successful record of results to date.
Since joining CDR in 2000, Lisa has been appointed on several occasions to prepare Expert Witness Reports in the areas of quantum; loss and expense; value; and validity of variations in Final Account.

Kahleen has over 35 years experience in the Construction Industry. Following experience in major contracting, she then formed her own Consultative QS Practice in 1978 providing contractual advice to Employers, Main Contractors and Sub-contractors. After several years of providing consultancy services to CDR, Kahleen joined the team permanently in January 2003 wishing to concentrate fully on Contractual issues, Party representation in Adjudication, Negotiation, Expert Witness, and Mediation.
Building on over 30 years experience in Corporate Recovery, Kahleen continues to work with Banks and other institutions in building related turnaround cases and building related insolvency.
Kahleen sits on the Committee of the Scottish Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is the Mediation Convener.

Jim remains a Consultant to the company after retiring in February 2008 following 11 years as Chairman. Jim provides Expert Witness and Mediation Services. Jim concentrates on issues related to defects as a result of design and specification or workmanship. He also specialises in planning and programming of projects and provides expert advice in respect of Extension of Time claims.
Jim is still actively involved with his own architectural practice Unick Architects Ltd, ensuring up-to date construction technology and sustainable building issues are in sharp focus.
